I was contacted by the owner of Newcastle Till Company, to design a custom skin for their TouchICR software which they use on all of their hardware they install in Bars, Pubs, and Restaurants. The client already had a skin which they generically install at all of their clients locations, however thought it would be a nice touch to have their own version of this skin, reflecting their branding and company colours.
Customers of the company can choose to have their own skin designed if they wish, however if this is something they are not willing to do, then this new ‘Generic’ skin is used for their install.
Firstly, I started with the main images of which to apply branding. The first image a customer sees, is the boot up dialog box of the TouchICR software, which as shown was the first image I customised.
Next is the main till menu. The grey buttons shown are customised to the customers needs. In this image, we see a reflection of the NTC’s colours, and their logo in the top left hand corner.
After a period of inactivity on the POS system, a ‘Screensaver’ is displayed, and we discussed with the client that this would be an excellent advertising opportunity. Should any of the clients customers so wish, they can customise this area to display an array of images to advertise their products and display any special offers they have. As standard, we decided to advertise the clients company.
The next task was to change all of the on screen keyboard colours to reflect the clients branding. Originally, these were of a similar colour to the ICRTouch logo, but the change has vastly improved the clients presence.
Lastly, I added the clients logo into the main POS screen which displays all of the order information.
